Current Assessment Rates:
Bearing acreage refers to trees that are producing pistachios. Non-bearing acreage includes young trees that are not yet in production.
Bearing acreage: $0.035 per pound
Non-bearing acreage only: $5.00 per acre, capped at $250 annually
Growers with both types of acreage are only assessed on bearing production.
No. If you have bearing acreage, your assessment is based only on pounds produced. You are not assessed on your non-bearing acreage in this case.
Your processor should provide you with a year-end statement showing your total pounds assessed. If you haven’t received it, please contact them directly.

If your pistachios are processed by an APG member processor, you can opt to have them collect and submit assessments on your behalf—no further action is needed.
If your processor is not a member of APG, they do not submit assessments to us. In that case, this page allows you to submit your annual assessment directly and ensure your support helps drive the industry forward.
